About Doctor:

I’m Dr. Milad Khalifa, a Consultant in Neurology, Psychiatry, and Addiction Medicine, and the Founder of Wanas Mental Health Platform. I hold a Master’s Degree in Neurology and Psychiatry from Ain Shams University and am a Fellow of the Egyptian Fellowship in Psychiatry. I have extensive professional experience in psychiatry, neurology, addiction treatment, and rehabilitation. I founded the Rehabilitation Addiction Treatment Department at Minya Mental Health Hospital and currently serve as the Director of Taafina Center for Psychiatry and Addiction Treatment. I also gained professional experience in the United States through my work at Eskenazi Hospital and Indiana University Hospital. In Egypt, I have worked at several leading healthcare institutions, including Ahmed Maher Teaching Hospital, El Demerdash Hospital, and Dar El Mokattam Hospital, including experience working in an environment under the supervision of the renowned Egyptian psychiatrist Dr. Yehia El-Rakhawy. I have successfully completed the United States Medical Licensing Examination (USMLE) and serve as a Certified Inspector with the National Council for Mental Health. In psychotherapy, I have received training in several therapeutic approaches, including Psychodynamic Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), in addition to Group Psychotherapy. This allows me to tailor the therapeutic approach to each individual’s needs and the challenges they are experiencing. I believe that psychotherapy begins with creating a safe, respectful, and non-judgmental space where you can better understand yourself, work through the challenges you are facing, and develop practical steps toward a more balanced and fulfilling life.
